These are few of the statements in the movie – The Fountain – in the funeral of the actress.
“We struggle all our life to become whole, complete enough when we die
To achieve a measure of grace,
Few of us ever do
Most of us end up going out the way we came in, kicking and screaming.
But somehow Izzi, young as she was, she achieved that grace.
In her last days she became whole.”
What is grace…. complete enough…. whole ….. here? What I think is the calmness one achieves when s/he has achieved almost everything they wanted or when they just live – without any competition with anyone – but simply joyful within. This, I think makes my previous post all the more important.
