Being the best we can

My friend posted an update in FB- “The work you do while you procrastinate is, probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life.”
—Jessica Hische

Aha! This is what I have been thinking for quite sometime, though not the same words.

What have I been thinking? If my deep desires, thoughts and actions get along the same line, it will lead to a huge force and – BOOM – all walls, shackles and boundaries will be shattered to pieces. find-your-passion

Procrastination often appears due to things we like to do and what we are good at. We get so involved in all that we are passionate about that we lose awareness of time. FLOW is the name given by psychologists to this state. APJ Abdul Kalam also talks about it in the book Wings of Fire. Several other books also mention this concept as something very important.

I think if I actually want to do something positive or useful, my thoughts will mostly go in line with my gifts or abilities. And only then will BOOM! happen. But it takes time to understand our passion and FLOW for each one of us. And, it often takes time to bring all three – desire, thought and action – along the same line.

Firstly, majority of the world’s population are not aware of their gifts or are not aware of their TRUE desires. And if they are, for several reasons – action is not there.

In fact, we often give up in this effort of knowing our passion. We give up on our efforts to become our BEST and accept everything! Only if each one of us continues to strive and be the best, the world will be a better place!
